A single Electronic Control Module (ECM) manages both the engine and the Cummins Aftertreatment System for optimal performance. The result is exceptional throttle response -- with the pulling power that’s needed when you’re called on in an emergency situation.
Better Reliability And Durability.
Cummins designs, develops and supports every component from air handling to exhaust aftertreatment as a totally integrated system. This allows us to optimize every function better than other engine manufacturers.
The proven Cummins Aftertreatment System uses Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, all working together to maximize efficiency and lower emissions. NOx is reduced through cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation in the engine, then virtually eliminated through a catalytic reaction in the aftertreatment system.
Better Fuel Economy.
Cummins on-highway diesel engines get even better fuel economy than previous models. We can help you calculate how much you can save and the reduction in greenhouse gases as a result of lower fuel usage. Every dollar saved in fuel costs is a dollar you can use for increased training, upgrading equipment or facilities.
