A historic turnout at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Anaheim, California has been met with a big showing of natural gas trucks powered by Cummins new X15N.  For the show’s 14th year, Class 8 trucks equipped with the Cummins X15N natural gas and diesel engines have outnumbered their zero-emission counterparts.

Global power and technology leader Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), is pleased to announce the launch of its new turbocharger designed specifically for hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2 ICE). This advancement in turbocharging technology marks a significant milestone for heavy-duty commercial on-highway applications in Europe. Cummins Components and Software (CCS), part of Cummins' Components business segment, has secured a contract to supply H2 ICE turbochargers to a major European OEM, showcasing its leadership in hydrogen innovation. 

Today, Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) and global power and technology leader Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announce availability of the industry’s first 15-liter natural gas engine in the Fifth Generation Freightliner Cascadia. Freightliner, a leading manufacturer of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and a division of DTNA, has opened orders for the Fifth Generation Cascadia trucks equipped with the Cummins X15N. The offering comes eight months after Cummins began full production of the X15N, marking the first of the Cummins HELM™ engine platforms.

Jennifer Rumsey says she achieved her dream job when she became Cummins’ Vice President – Chief Technical Officer in 2015. Today, she leads the company’s global technical organization, responsible for research and engineering across Cummins’ four business units.
