At Cummins, we strive every day to improve the quality of life for people in the communities where we operate, here in the United States and around the world.
As a result of our efforts and those of other leading companies, America’s business community has decreased greenhouse gas emissions, improved energy efficiency, conserved water, reduced waste and protected the environment – achievements that benefit the United States and the entire world.
Commercial vehicles must deliver rock-solid performance, minimize maintenance, and keep operating costs down. One way Cummins is helping customers meet that goal is with lashless valvetrain technology, a system designed to enhance reliability, durability and cut down on service needs.
Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), a global leader in power technology, has announced the successful commissioning of advanced low carbon fuel test cells, marking a significant milestone in its joint project with Vale and Komatsu to develop an ethanol/diesel-powered surface mining haul truck aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This achievement underscores the companies’ shared commitment to decarbonizing the mining sector and advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Cummins achieved its water and energy goals in 2015, but still has a considerable way to go to meet its 2020 recycling goals.
“The environmental teams around the globe truly had an outstanding year,” said Mark Dhennin, Director of Energy Efficiency and Environment at Cummins. “There was a lot of effort that went into delivering on our commitments, which our environmental professionals met with great skill and enthusiasm.”
Power Generation announced updates to Power Suite™, a free online portal for power system product sizing, specification generation, and power generation technical tools. These updates are designed to enhance user experience and modernize legacy applications.
