Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced that Jim Fier, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, after an impactful 36-year career with the company, has decided to retire at the end of March 2023. The company also announced that Jonathan Wood, Vice President of New Power Engineering, will succeed Fier as Chief Technical Officer (CTO), effective April 1. 

Global power and technology leader, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced today their new hybrid power system for the RV industry will be on display at the Florida RV SuperShow, beginning on January 18, at the Florida State Fairgrounds. The concept power system blends industry leading lithium-ion battery technology with Onan RV generators. The result is an integrated power package delivering reduced emissions, silent mode operation, and smart load management with a simple user interface. 

In the United States, the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., MLK Day is observed annually on the third Monday of January and is also known as a National Day of Service to strengthen communities. MLK Day is a defining moment each year when Americans across the country step up to make communities more equitable and take action to create the “Beloved Community” of Dr. King’s dream.

Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced that after 39 years with the company, Amy Boerger, Vice President and General Manager – North America On-Highway, will retire at the end of March 2023. With the announcement of her retirement, José Samperio, will assume the role of Executive Director and General Manager, North America On-Highway.

Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) and Arsenal Technical High School local business, government, education and community leaders celebrate the launch of Cummins TEC: Technical Education for Communities in Indianapolis.  Cummins Advocating for Racial Equity (CARE), a U.S. strategic community initiative, supported the Cummins TEC team as they selected Indianapolis, and other U.S. cities to expand Cummins TEC. The aim of the expansion is to improve pathways for Black youth into prosperous careers in the identified cities. 

Natural gas powers more than 175,000 vehicles in the United States and 23 million vehicles worldwide. It’s an ideal alternative to gasoline and diesel for heavy and medium-duty applications. These include freight-hauling trucks, buses, and garbage trucks. Natural gas engines provide horsepower, acceleration, and cruise speed comparable to conventional fossil fuel engines. This fuel can also replace gasoline in smaller applications, such as forklifts and commercial lawn equipment.
