When Khun Namchai Sakunchoknamchai was seven years old he like cars. So he built himself one out of wood. Decades later, he was building those big beautiful custom tour buses that are a feature of Thai roads. It was just enough time, however, for Crandall and the BBC Pump and Equipment Co. Inc. of Indianapolis, Indiana, to take home top-honors at the first Cummins U.S. Innovation Gateway in Columbus, Indiana, earlier this week.
“I’ve never been a part of something quite like this,” said Crandall, Commercial/Industrial Sales Engineer at BBC. “I’ve worked with a lot of companies, but not many are trying to solve problems they don’t even know they have yet.”

Regardless of the forecast, Gail D’Andrade of Palm Bay, Florida, can’t miss a day of work. As a certified state medical coder for a large hospital system, she reviews patient records and assigns standard codes for diagnoses, procedures and medical services, which is then used for insurance reimbursement.
In other words, D'Andrade brings money into the hospital. Money that is required to treat and provide urgent care for patients.
