It was a Sunday in February 2018 and my family and I were out having an early dinner before heading home to watch the big game. All three of our boys were excited, as they were just getting old enough to really enjoy big events like this. The waitress interrupted our chatter as she came to take our order.  “So, who’s going to win tonight?” she asked, while collecting our menus.  All of us gave our predictions. Well, all of us except our youngest son Gabe, who was eight years old at the time. “And what about you, young man? Who’s going to win?” she asked.

For Gonul Ogan, home isn’t a place — home is her people. After growing up in Turkey, Gonul has traveled the world, living throughout Europe in France, Romania and Slovenia before landing back in Turkey with her family.

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) is unveiling its latest innovation for the RV market this week at the 52nd annual America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The NEW EC-AGS+ wireless control system for Onan diesel and gas generator sets allows the user to control their generator utilizing an app on their mobile device. The wireless control enables automatic, manual or voice activation to start the generator set, receives maintenance reminders within Bluetooth range and allows for climate monitoring. 

Take us through your career journey up to this point. My first job was as a Quality Technician at Hydrogenics in 2013. In 2019, Hydrogenics was acquired by Cummins as part of the New Power business. It feels like I've been with Cummins my entire career. To me, Cummins is more like a family than a workplace. From day one, the managers were helpful and believed in my strengths which motivated and boosted me to grow as both an individual and a professional. Throughout my nine years, I moved up from Quality Technologist to Lead-Quality Assurance Technologist.
