Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) and Isuzu Motors Limited (hereinafter “Isuzu”), a leading global truck manufacturer headquartered in Japan, are launching a new 6.7-liter engine jointly developed by the two companies, designed for use in Isuzu’s new medium-duty truck lineup. The “Isuzu DB6A” will power on-highway truck applications built for the Japanese market and will be available for the Asia Pacific markets and other global markets later this year. The engine will be assembled at Isuzu’s engine plant in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan.
Our trip through Canada has come to an end this week. From Toronto to Winnipeg, across to Edmonton, and through the mountains to Vancouver – the entire experience was unmatched. Cummins Western Canada hosted their event in Edmonton and they did not hold back. More than 400 customers and attendees came out to see Cummins products in action while enjoying some mid-summer sun, local grilling expertise, live music and even an ice cream truck. While we loved our time in Edmonton, and couldn’t wait to take the trucks through the Canadian Rockies on our way to Vancouver.
Accelera™ by Cummins, the zero-emissions business segment of Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) today announced plans to launch a battery electric powertrain for Isuzu’s F-series in North America. Availability of the medium-duty truck is expected in 2026 and will include Accelera’s next generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology.

This past April, the lights went out in our nation’s capital. There was no storm, it wasn’t a hot summer day, and a car did not knock down any power lines.
The cause of the blackout was allegedly a freak accident due to a dilapidating infrastructure: a piece of metal breaking loose from a power line 43 miles from the District of Columbia. From neighborhoods to national museums, prestigious colleges and government offices, it left about 8,000 D.C. residents sitting in the dark.
