The 2018 ISX12N continues the evolution of emissions-leading natural gas engines from Cummins. Certified to the California Air Resources Board and Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Optional Low NOx emissions standard of 0.02 g/bhp-hr, it has 90% fewer NOx emissions than the current North American EPA standard. With 400 hp / 1,450 lb-ft torque, and near-zero emissions, the ISX12N is well suited for heavy-duty regional-haul truck, vocational, refuse applications, and motorcoach. Tied to the EPA 2010 introduction, on December 31, 2009 the B Gas Plus 5.9 litre Lean Burn Natural Gas engine and the BLPG Plus 5.9 litre Propane engine will be discontinued in North America.  Cummins and Cummins Westport will continue to support B Gas Plus and BLPG Plus warranty, service and parts availability as required. It is important to also note that the B Gas Plus will continue to be offered in markets outside of North America certified EURO 3,4,5, EEV.
