Today, Cummins Turbo Technologies, a business unit of global power technology leader Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), celebrated the expansion of its new turbo remanufacturing operations in North Charleston, allowing the company to better serve customers.
Today, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced that, effective November 2, Steve Pinkston is being named the Rocky Mount Engine Plant (RMEP) Plant Manager. Pinkston will replace John Judd, who, also effective November 2, is being named the North America Operations Leader for Cummins-Meritor.
Pinkston will be the 13th plant manager since the plant opened in Whitakers, North Carolina in 1981. The midrange diesel and natural gas engine plant has manufactured nearly 5 million engines and produces engines for more than 500 customers and employs approximately 1,800 people.
Cummins China and EDF Renewables signed a distributed photovoltaic PowerPurchase Agreement in Beijing, aiming to cut down electricity consumption from traditional grids and reduce carbon emissions in Cummins facilities & operations. Cummins will provide the roof & ground space and will consume the generated solar power, EDF Renewables will be responsible for the investment, installation and operation of solar PV generation equipment.
