The QSK78 locomotive engine is part of the proven Quantum Series of engines from Cummins, with innovative technology that delivers outstanding reliability and durability, exceptional fuel economy, lower operating costs and a longer engine life-to-overhaul. A high-pressure fuel injection system, high-strength components and a turbocharger designed for the QSK78 by Cummins Turbo Technologies are all integrated and optimized to produce 3300 hp (2461 kW) at 1800 rpm.
