Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced today that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Pat Ward is retiring after 31 years and Mark Smith is succeeding him. Both moves are effective March 31, 2019.

With Weeks Marine reaching their 100th anniversary in 2019, it is fitting that they would be running one of their crew boats with Cummins’ latest marine engine, the X15 as 2019 also represents the centenary for Cummins. Weeks began as a stevedoring company in the Port of New York. Today their dredging and other operations span much of North and South America.

A 2,500 kVA power system from Cummins is a reliable emergency source of power for a boron mine facility in Turkey’s northwestern region. Cummins Turkey provided a single Cummins C2500 D5A generator set with a silencer and compensator to the Eti Maden plant, located in Balıkesir.

This day marked two important events in Latin America - Data Center Dynamics Chile and Data Center Summit Uruguay. The events hosted hundreds of professionals from national and multinational data center companies, technologies and other related segments.

Cummins’ six distributors in Brazil – CVSMG, DCML, DCDN, DCCO, Motormac and Noroeste – hosted the individual events.

Attendees included 10 sales managers and coordinators from the Cummins-owned and five independent distributors, and 24 customers from different segments and states of the country in sectors such as construction, food, supermarkets, education, health, telecommunications and technology.
