COLUMBUS, Ind. and SAN JOSE, Calif, April 13, 2021 – Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) and Tula Technology, Inc., a leader in propulsion efficiency, announced today at the Society of Automotive Engineers World Congress in Detroit the results of their collaborative study on the effectiveness of Tula’s diesel Dynamic Skip Fire (dDSF™) in reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions on a Cummins X15 HD Efficiency Series diesel engine. 

Overview Challenge: Provide power system technologies for a completely off-grid microgrid solution in a remote location but at a commercial scale.  Solution: An integrated renewable power system with two of Cummins 72 kW diesel generator sets.

For hydrogen power, the sky is no longer the limit — it’s the starting point. With new hydrogen air applications, hydrogen-powered aviation has proven is within reach and Cummins is a part of it. The Nashville Entrepreneur Center (NEC), a non-profit dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and business leaders, today announced new funding from Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) to support the NEC’s Pitch for Good: Black Founders edition. In 2019, Cummins Sales and Service Indianapolis launched the Youth Technician Apprenticeship Program, a partnership with Area 31 Career Center at Ben Davis High School (Indianapolis) and Cummins Inc. Recently, Area 31 was recognized in partnership with Indiana’s Office of Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship (OWBLA) for development of four certified State Earn and Learn (SEAL) programs; with one being automotive services.

When Cummins Inc. announced they were offering free COVID-19 vaccines for employees, contingent workers, and their dependents; reservations began to immediately fill up.  Cummins began vaccinating its workforce and their dependents on April 1 in Columbus, Indiana. The company partnered with the state’s health department and local health care provider, Premise Health to ensure there was enough vaccine and medical professionals to handle the demand.
