BRUSSELS, Belgium (Oct.17, 2019) — Today at the Busworld Europe show Cummins introduced the X12 engine with up to 480 hp (360 kW) output for powering full size touring and intercity coaches. Certified to the stringent Phase-D stage of Euro VI regulations, the X12 incorporates innovative architecture and a highly efficient in-cylinder combustion formula eliminating the need for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR).

With some parts of the United States already seeing snow, it’s only a matter of time before we start hearing terms like bomb cyclone, graupel and polar vortex again. But are these weather phenomena as scary as they sound? While these terms are common among meteorologists like myself, the media has started using them more in recent years, causing confusion (and fear) among their audiences.
Before the cold sets in, I’m here to provide a brief explanation of these terms to help ease your mind.
Old Man Winter has proven once again to be unpredictable and relentless. From the December storm that brought snow from Texas east to Virginia and the Carolinas to the late season April blizzard that dumped several feet of snow in the Mideast and Great Plains, the 2018-19 winter was one for the books.

She later moved to London and began working for Johnson Matthey Battery Systems, which was later acquired by Cummins.

Third quarter revenues of $5.8 billion decreased 3 percent from the same quarter in 2018. Lower demand for trucks and construction equipment drove the majority of the decline. Sales in North America were flat while international revenues decreased 8 percent. Currency negatively impacted revenues by 1 percent, primarily due to a stronger US dollar.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in the third quarter were $958 million, or 16.6 percent of sales, compared to $983 million or 16.5 percent of sales a year ago.
