A recent report by the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority states, “Total cargo traffic for both ports (Tema and Takoradi) grew from 19,459,834 tonnes in 2016 to 22,086,626 tonnes in 2017, registering a 13 per cent increase. Transit cargo in both ports also increased from 944,081 tonnes in 2016 to 1,249,336 tonnes in 2017, a rise of 32 per cent. Today, leaders from Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and elected officials gathered to announce a new multi-year partnership between the two 100-year old, Indiana-based companies. 

During the Technology & Maintenance Council’s (TMC) annual meeting in Atlanta, GA, Cummins was presented with the Jim Winsor Memorial Technical Achievement Award for its new X12 diesel engine. Krista Toenjes – General Manager of Field Sales & Support in North America – accepted the award on Cummins’ behalf.

However, Rocky Mountain Tree Care’s B4.5 powered chipper has proven to be both reliable and powerful regardless of the job. According to owner, Don Wessels, “The Cummins B4.5 is so much better than what we’ve had in the past just by the fact that we know when we get to the job it’s going to start, it’s going to run, and it’s going to have intense power.” 

Following the official launch of the series on March 5 during the Middle East Electricity show in Dubai, Cummins will now be introducing the HSK78G series to the biggest European industry fair to highlight the key benefits offered to the European markets. This new gas generator series represents a bold step into the natural gas arena for Cummins, showcasing new technology in a new engine that pushes new levels of efficiency, transient performance and gas variation to extremes.
