Global power and technology leader, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) today announced that it, through its subsidiary Meritor, has completed its acquisition of Siemens’ Commercial Vehicles business, a leading global supplier of high-performance electric drive systems for commercial vehicles. In May 2022, Meritor, Inc. announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire the business for approximately €190 million enterprise value; Cummins subsequently completed its acquisition of Meritor in August 2022.

Cummins East Asia Research & Development Center (EA R&D) officially opened its new site in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, locating in central China. The global power technology leader, for example, recently saw its ESG Rating from MSCI upgraded from AA a year ago to AAA last month, the highest rating possible. MSCI stands for Morgan Stanley Capital International. The firm is a leading provider of support tools and services for the investment community.
MSCI said the upgrade was driven by the presence of new members on the Board of Directors, strong workforce management and health and safety programs, as well as efforts to reduce waste and emissions at plants and facilities.
Jonathan was taught option pricing theory - a complex, probabilistic approach to assigning a value to an options contract - by a complete stranger in a bookstore.
“I was in a Barnes & Noble when a man saw me studying and said he had a background in finance,” says Jonathan. “The store wanted to kick him out because of the way he looked. I bought him a cup of coffee, and, simultaneously, I learned about option pricing theory and the importance of not judging people by their looks.”

Ten years after the program’s launch, Cummins, through its Nigerian subsidiary Cummins West Africa Ltd., has launched the second phase of its TEC training program in Nigeria, furthering Cummins’ impact on education in global communities.
