Crystal Gwynn spent countless hours in her childhood watching over her dad’s shoulder as he worked on cars. Even a standard oil change was fascinating to her. As a high achiever, she was committed to performing highly in academics, sports and extracurricular activities. But all the while, Crystal held a passion and curiosity for mechanics. “When I was about 15, a family friend was working as a mechanic, and I asked to work in his shop during the summer,” she said. “He said that no man would let a woman work on his car and that I might get hurt.”

Peace of mind was at the top of the list for Glinn Hindin when moving to Northern Georgia. Neighbors reassured him that power outages never happened in their area, but Hindin did some research of his own. Columbus, Ind. - Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced three roles for senior executives in its Engine segment. Effective February 1, Amy Boerger will lead the North America region for On-Highway as Vice President and General Manager, North America. José Samperio is replacing Boerger in her previous leadership role of the Field Sales and Support organization as Executive Director, Sales for U.S./Canada. Also joining the North American region is Lyndon Jones, who replaces John Malina as the leader of the Leasing team.

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced today that Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Marya Rose will be retiring, effective April 2021, after more than 20 years in leadership positions with the company. Vice President and General Counsel, Sharon Barner, will succeed Rose.

A community partnership in Indianapolis that includes several Cummins Inc. employees is calling for new approaches to community policing in the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd. The Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee (GIPC) released a report entitled “Police Reform: Equal Treatment of Black Americans,” the culmination of months of work by a legal Structural Reform Team formed in the summer of 2020 and charged by GIPC to research, benchmark, and make recommendations on the most critical police reforms needed.
