At Bauma China 2018, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) demonstrated a full line of China Stage IV (CS IV) engines with the unveiling of the upgraded high performance 8.9-litre L series engine which moves up to 400 hp (298 kW) with a peak torque of 1800 Nm – an 11 percent increase over that of CS III, offering class-leading fuel economy and the ability to run at high altitudes while maintaining power capability. 

There’s been a lot in the news lately about climate concerns now that the United Nations’ annual conference on the topic is underway in Katowice, Poland. Here’s five ways Cummins is working to address these concerns: 1)    Improving diesel technology.

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced today that the Cummins X12 engine is now available in the Freightliner 114SD chassis. “Cummins is excited about the positive impact our X12 will have in weight-sensitive markets,” said Brett Merritt, Vice President − Cummins On-Highway Engine Business. “We believe that the Cummins X12 in Freightliner’s 114SD truck will be an exceptional option for vocational customers.” 

Indiana is one of five states that does not have a statewide law that specifically addresses hate crimes. Such legislation can enable prosecutors to seek higher penalties for criminal acts motivated by hate. “We can talk about inclusion, but there’s still just some basic things we need to do as a state to make Indiana welcoming, and passing a comprehensive hate crimes bill is table stakes for our state,” Rose said while participating today (Dec. 14) in a panel discussion at Engage Indiana in Indianapolis. 

The pledged amount represents about a 7 percent increase over pledges in 2017 and will be matched dollar for dollar by the Cummins Foundation, creating twice the impact for local communities. The more than $6 million from Cummins and its employees will go towards initiatives addressing everything from homelessness and hunger to school readiness and programs promoting safe, healthy relationships.

The hospital expanded its main building to 400 beds, and this led to an increase in the electrical power supply. In addition, MAMMET completed the synchronization work with the old station. “This was an important step to support the energy field in the liberated areas, especially the city of Mosul,” noted MAMMET Sales Engineer Mustafa Shakir. “The team faced difficulty in transferring the generators to the site because of the procedures and the difficulty of entering Mosul after the liberation from ISIS.”
