The new site allows users to search for parts information using any serial or part number available on their Cummins engine or component including Holset® turbochargers, Onan generators, aftertreatment solutions and Fleetguard® filtration solutions. Customers no longer need to visit multiple sites to research Cummins associated parts.

This week, power and technology leader Cummins Inc., (NYSE: CMI) has its technological leadership on full display for customers and attendees at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show (NACV) in Atlanta, showing its latest products and connectivity solutions.

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced that it will be unifying its brand strategy across its Power Systems business segment, which provides high-speed engines from 760 – 4400hp and power generation equipment from 2-3,500kW, including standby and prime power gen sets, alternators, switchgear and other components. Currently the portfolio features the Cummins, Cummins Power Generation and Onan brands. With immediate effect, the branding will be consolidated under the Cummins brand.

“Whilst most manufacturers are adding technologies for Stage V, Cummins are changing the rules and reducing complexity. Our latest Single ModuleTM aftertreatment technology used on 3.8 to 9 litre engines is 50% smaller and 30% lighter than the equivalent Stage IV system. Its higher efficiency NOx conversion capability supports the removal of EGR from the engine, making it simpler and easier to install for OEMs,” said Andrew Hobbs, Cummins Agriculture Business Director. 

Getting off exit 173 from I-85 to GA-17 might seem like taking just another country road. Nothing of note here besides the usual gas stations, fast-food restaurants and a couple of one-traffic-light small towns as you make your way to Royston, Georgia, home of Earl’s Electric Services Inc. (EES).

In April, Cummins West Africa Ltd took 10 customers to visit the Cummins India Office Campus in Pune, India. The delegation included key clients from financial institutions, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), engineering, manufacturing, construction and logistics sectors. The guests went to experience the manufacturing process first-hand, specifically high-horsepower engines and heavy-duty engines. The hosts at Cummins India shared Cummins India Office Campus round-about and welcome address, and briefings on product management, quality and plant operations.

The smiles are hard to miss as dozens of men, women and children pull a rope up a long and rocky road. What’s easier to miss is at the end of the rope. There, a large, green generator set slowly makes its way from the back of the video frame to the foreground, its handlers waving to the crowd while pushing the unit along. A new video published on the Cummins YouTube channel shows how hundreds of residents of a remote village in the Amazon came together to push and pull the generator to its new home.

In April 2017, a data center tour organized by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) was held in San Francisco, California. Policymakers, engineers from leading design institutes, industry experts and key customers from China joined the tour. As one of the co-sponsors of the event, Cummins hosted a half-day Power Seminar, leading a highly interactive discussion on Uptime Institute Tier requirements and power system design trends that improve power usage effectiveness and energy efficiency.

Last month, Cummins had a special opportunity to host a Chinese State Grid delegation at its generator set manufacturing plant in Fridley, Minnesota. The half-day program gave the Chinese delegates a first-hand look at Cummins' product capability and reliability in the microgrid and DECHP market and expertise in power generation technology. In recent years, China’s National Energy Administration has been working to diversify its energy structure and develop distributed generation to improve grid efficiencies and reliabilities.
