Who Is Cummins?

Cummins is a global power leader employing more than 50,000 people worldwide.  We design, manufacture, distribute and service diesel and natural gas engines.  We also make related technologies, including fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems. Our global headquarters is in Columbus, Indiana and we serve customers in approximately 190 countries and territories.

Cummins Indianapolis: The Business in the Building

In January 2017, Cummins will open its Distribution Business Unit (Cummins employees commonly refer to the business unit as simply ''DBU") headquarters in downtown Indianapolis.  Tony Satterthwaite is the President of this division within Cummins.  The DBU is comprised of thousands of sales and service operations around the world.

They were busy as ever, working on the wiring, the gears, a bull bar to protect the grille and undercarriage and much, much more. And now they were racing the clock, because the truck was scheduled to be shipped to Mexico in just a few days.

Art All Around Us

Created by artist Kendall Buster, this sculpture is one of many artworks that will be integrated throughout the nine-story building.

Though the project is not yet complete, Cummins already has been credited with bringing its architectural legacy to Indianapolis through creating a dynamic, people-centric work environment for employees and customers, while contributing to the city’s social and economic vibrancy.
