Press Release: Cummins Extends Its Stage V Lineup With New Power Unit Range
Cummins Stage V Engines will be delivering MORE with LESS at Hillhead 2018:
- MORE PERFORMANCE
- MORE MACHINE CAPABILITY
- MORE PRODUCTIVITY
- MORE REPLIABILTY
- MORE UPTIME
From 55 to 503 kW (74-675 hp), Cummins Stage V engines deliver key benefits for equipment operators and manufacturers. For operators of construction and mining equipment they deliver higher performance for more machine capability. Simpler architecture with fewer parts means more reliability, and more productivity. Improved fuel efficiency with extended service intervals drives lower running costs. The engines are more compact with less weight, less to cool, less installation complexity and lower installation costs for manufacturers.
Delivering exceptional power and responsiveness for faster cycle times, the 4-cylinder B4.5 delivers 16% more power and 11% more torque than the Stage IV version of this engine.
Top-rated power for the Stage V B6.7 moves up to 243 kW (326 hp) with a peak torque of 1375 Nm – a 31% increase over that of Stage IV. Recently, Cummins announced that is latest B6.7 and L9 Stage V engines are now fully certified and in production at its Darlington UK plant.
Cummins L9 offers some serious power. With ratings from 206-321 kW (275 – 430 hp), this engine delivers higher performance for more machine capability.
The X12 features a torque rise of as much as 60%, so it responds faster to increasing load factors even at lower engine rpm. With ratings covering 250 kW (335 hp) to 382 kW (513 hp), the X12 offers an ideal power solution for a wide variety of applications.
New technologies and innovations delivered 15% greater horsepower and 60% more torque at Tier 4 Final, which have been maintained in the Performance Series.
