Cummins 2.8L: Specific design package for a light duty, automotive application

This engine is the result of research with the U.S. Department of Energy. The Cummins 2.8L I4 diesel engine puts out 210 hp and 385 lb-ft at peak torque and weighs in at only 362 lbs. With a capability of meeting future Tier 2/Bin 2 emission levels, making it ready for even the most stringent greenhouse gas (GHG) requirements out to the year 2025.
