For over 65 years Building Operating Management has been providing education & training to the non-residential building industry. Their annual National Facilities Management & Technology Conference/Expo (NFMT) is one of the industry’s leading conferences, designed entirely for the professional facilities industry, providing the most up-to-date advancements and knowledgeable practices in the management, operations, maintenance, renovation and construction of non-residential buildings.
We are proud to announce that Cummins Power Generation expert and Technical Advisor Michael Sanford will be presenting on Thursday, March 28th, at 10:30am in room #327. Mr. Sanford will be discussing Best Practices for Testing Standby Power Systems. Standby power system testing, although often misunderstood and misapplied, is critical to the reliability of a modern power system. This 60-minute session will walk attendees through site acceptance and in-service testing, reviewing best practices that will empower facility owners and managers to administer appropriate test strategies in order to maintain a reliable power system. This course will also take a look at common specification standards such as NFPA 110 that provide product testing guidelines while also addressing potential pitfalls.
By the end of this 60 minute session, attendees will be able to:
- Describe generator set testing guidelines and best practices.
- Identify commonly-adopted test standards such as NFPA 110 and their relevance to on-site testing best practices.
- Recognize the power system reliability benefits associated with a complete testing strategy.
- Describe advancements in technology that impact power system testing strategies.
We look forward to seeing you in Baltimore and make sure to stop by booth #2243 to meet the Cummins’ team!
