Smart torque across the rpm range gives the QSK23 the power to pull away quickly and maintain speed on an uphill climb, no matter how heavy the load. A high-pressure injection (HPI) fuel system injects fuel at 29,000 psi for the best fuel economy of any engine in its class, while maintaining low emissions. Plus, the QSK23 has an underplate, a floating head cover, integrated front and rear gear housing and a rear gear train, all to keep engine noise to a minimum. That's something everyone on a work site can appreciate.

Maintenance Intervals

Every mechanic knows, simpler is better. That's why Cummins QSK23 has an in-line 6-cylinder configuration, versus the competition's V-12.The less time an engine spends in service, the more productive it is on the job. That's why Cummins QSK23 engines require oil and oil filter changes every 250 hours or 6 months. When service is needed, the oil pump, water pump and accessories are all front-mounted and easy to reach.
