The ISL G is the newest evolution of alternative fuel engine technology, combining all the advantages of clean-burning, natural gas engines with "no compromise" performance for medium duty truck, refuse truck, shuttle bus, urban transit, school bus, vocational and urban truck/tractor pick up-and-delivery applications. The ISL G meets current U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resource Board (ARB) emission standards and EPA greenhouse gas (GHG) and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) fuel consumption regulations.
Parented from the legendary KTA50, the QSK50 is designed, developed, assembled and tested inhouse by Cummins. Every component on the engine is built to provide optimum performance, reliability, and versatility for oil and gas well servicing applications requiring EPA Tier 2, China Stage 3 or non-emissionized standards. The complete well servicing package is backed by Cummins service network and warranty, ensuring greater uptime availability and increased rig efficiency.

The innovative architecture of the X12 results in a remarkably low engine weight of 862 kg, achieved through a sculptured block design and the use of high-strength composite materials for components such as the oil pan and valve cover.
The X12 is Euro 5 emissions compliant using selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology with AdBlue/DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) dosing. Significantly, the X12 will achieve Euro 6 compliance without the addition of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR).
