With a totally integrated system that includes our proven cooled-EGR subsystem, a High Pressure Common Rail fuel injection system, our patented VG Turbo, Cummins Particulate Filter and a crankcase ventilation system.

The X12 engine is an optimal choice for vocational and regional haul truck fleets that need maximum payload without compromising performance capability. Vocational customers with the EPA 2021 X12 will be especially pleased with the option to reduce engine noise both in operation and at idle through an air compression resonator. Plus, vocational ratings maintain a governed engine speed of 2000 RPM, which optimizes driving performance while allowing for greater flexibility in axle ratio and transmission selections.

The X12 is designed to give weight-sensitive applications maximum payload. And at just 2,050 lbs., the X12 is at least 150 lbs. lighter than the lightest competitive 11L engine, yet it still delivers powerful performance from 350-500 HP and 1250-1700 lb-ft Torque. With the response and power of larger displacement engines, the X12 delivers the performance drivers desire while maximizing efficiency for every job.  

For the 2021 X12 we’ve updated our engine with a focus on improved reliability, lower maintenance cost, better performance, while meeting more stringent EPA Greenhouse Gas standards. The good news for Motorhome & RV customers is that lower Greenhouse Gas emissions means improved fuel economy. We’ve been able to do this by optimizing our existing technology, rather than introducing new emissions equipment.
