COLUMBUS, Ind. / SEOUL, Korea, September 26-27, 2019 – Hyundai Motor Company and Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), announced today that the two global powertrain leaders have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly evaluate opportunities to develop and commercialize electric and fuel cell powertrains. 

COLUMBUS, Indiana – Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), a global power leader, has announced availability of a new 38-liter natural gas engine for the gas compression industry. Expanding on the proven KTA19GCE platform, this new 12-cylinder engine delivers up to 760-horsepower (567-kW) at 1800-rpm in continuous operation. It also shares a significant percentage of heavy-duty components with its diesel counterpart, the Cummins K38, which has been setting industry standards for reliability and efficiency for over two decades.

Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI) has produced its 3-millionth diesel engine for Ram Trucks at its Columbus Mid-Range Engine Plant (CMEP) in Indiana today, highlighting the latest milestone in a partnership that spans more than three decades. 

For the first time at ICUEE, Cummins will display the B4.5 Performance Series engine for the off-highway market.  Available up to 200 hp, this 4-cylinder product has a high-power density for improved machine capability in wheel loader, excavators, roller/compactor and air compressor applications.

Cummins announces its ultra-low emission capability for airport buses at inter airport Europe 2019 (Munich Trade Fair Centre, Germany). These are Euro VI clean diesel and battery electric technology. “We recognise the challenge our airport customers face in ensuring their operations meet strict global regulations on emissions and we aim to support this by providing clean diesel as well as electric solutions for key ground operations,” said Ashley Watton, On-Highway Business Leader, Europe
