Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) will debut the HSK78G natural gas generator series during the 2019 Middle East Electricity (MEE) at the Dubai World Trade Centre, March 5 – 7. Fueling the next generation of power, the series offers a total package of gas generator capabilities and innovative gas technology for prime and peaking power applications.

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) has begun delivering eight Cummins-powered all-electric vehicles to the United States Postal Service (USPS). The fully-electric Cummins PowerDrive equipped vans are expected to eliminate vehicle emissions and reduce fuel and maintenance costs. The pilot program, made possible by a grant from the California Air Resources Board to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) and administered by CALSTART, will place the zero-emission vehicles in Fresno and Stockton.

The part was a low-volume bracket for a customer in Cummins’ New and ReCon Parts division and did not have a current supplier. The company is focusing first on printing low-volume parts as it studies how best to use 3D technology in higher volume manufacturing. “With this technology you can really unshackle the designer to do things you just can’t do using traditional forms of manufacturing,” said Brett Boas, Director-Advanced Manufacturing at the Cummins Technical Center in Columbus, Indiana (U.S.).

A recent report by the Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority states, “Total cargo traffic for both ports (Tema and Takoradi) grew from 19,459,834 tonnes in 2016 to 22,086,626 tonnes in 2017, registering a 13 per cent increase. Transit cargo in both ports also increased from 944,081 tonnes in 2016 to 1,249,336 tonnes in 2017, a rise of 32 per cent. Container traffic for both ports rose from 942,463 TEU in 2016 to 1,009,755 TEU in 2017, registering a seven per cent increase.”
