Cummins legendary ISX15 heavy-duty truck engine has been an industry favorite for nearly 20 years. In 2017, Cummins engineers are taking reliability, performance and efficiency to the next level with full production of the X15 Performance and Efficiency Series engines. The new X15 engine platform is an innovative approach to duty-cycle optimization, with two distinct engine series offerings so that owners don’t have to compromise.
COLUMBUS, IND. – Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) today stated that it does not supply engines for the FCA vehicles that are discussed in the Environmental Protection Agency’s Notice of Violation issued today, nor was Cummins named.
Cummins does not use defeat devices and is committed to meeting emissions standards. Cummins has a long history of working transparently and collaboratively with regulators to develop and meet emissions requirements.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb, Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Indianapolis City County Councilor Vop Osili mingled with a crowd of about 200 at the January 5 event to mark completion of the nine-story building and greenspace.
Dressed in colorful t-shirts, 10 children from Indianapolis-based Kids Dance Outreach danced to the Jackson 5’s “Goin’ Back to Indiana” to warm up the crowd of approximately 200 gathered in the new Cummins’ lobby to commemorate the occasion.
The power of that connection is ever present in the company’s Technical Education for Communities (TEC), an education initiative dedicated to expanding technical employment opportunities for disadvantaged students.
The partnership, which also includes Peloton Technology, Peterbilt Motors Company, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), is part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Next-Generation Energy Technologies for Connected and Autonomous On-Road Vehicles program, also known as NEXTCAR.
“We look forward to applying our expertise and working with the other partners,” said Ed Hodzen, Director of Advanced Controls Engineering at Cummins. “We can improve our customers’ business through real-time optimization of the powertrain utilizing off-board computational resources.”
