Experience the road: inside the Cummins Forever Rising Tour

By Cummins Inc., Global Power Technology Leader

Cummins Atlanta with Forever Rising trucks

Four trucks. Seven cities. One goal: put Cummins' powertrains in the hands of the people who use them every day. Since March, the Forever Rising Tour has traveled across the country, stopping at trade shows and distributor locations across the United States.

The tour goes well beyond a traditional trade show display. Participants can climb into a Peterbilt 579 sleeper cab running the 2027 X15, a Kenworth T680, a Freightliner Cascadia powered by the X15N natural gas platform or a Freightliner 114SD crew cab equipped with the new X10. Customers experienced Cummins HELM™ platforms on real roads and spend time with Cummins product specialists, asking questions and discussing the technologies together.

Sessions included time behind the wheel for CDL holders, with ride-along opportunities potentially available for those without a CDL. Participants could also speak with Cummins specialists, attend presentations and explore interactive displays.

TMC: innovation in action

The tour launched at TMC 2026 in Nashville, TN. Cummins arrived with trucks, product displays at the booth, and specialists ready to talk shop. The focus was innovation and the integrated powertrain, with the 2027 X15 at the center of the experience. The ride-and-drive gave participants the opportunity to experience the latest technology firsthand, while conversations with Cummins leaders and product experts provided additional context on where the industry is headed.

What began as a product showcase quickly evolved into something broader. Customers, product teams and company leaders interacted directly, creating the engagement and feedback that carried through every stop that followed.

MATS: voice of the customer

Louisville, KY brought a different audience. As the largest trucking show in North America, Mid America Trucking Show (MATS), attracts owner-operators, fleet managers and drivers from across the industry. Many arrived with questions, opinions and firsthand experience to share.

Cummins came to Louisville looking for candid feedback, and participants were happy to share their perspectives. Reactions from the ride-and-drive experience were unscripted and grounded in real operating conditions. That kind of direct customer input plays an important role in how Cummins continues to refine our products. The MATS stop reinforced a simple truth: customer insight drives innovation.

Atlanta: trusted partner in action

Atlanta, GA is one of the largest logistics hubs in the United States, with freight moving through its highways, distribution centers and warehouses around the clock. The stop provided an opportunity for customers and Cummins employees to spend time together, discussing operational challenges, technical questions and the realities of managing modern fleet operations.

The takeaway from Atlanta was clear. Cummins earns trust by showing up, listening and following through. Relationships like that are built over time through expertise, responsiveness and commitment to customer success.

Salt Lake City: dependability you can count on

Mountain passes, altitude changes and demanding terrain make Salt Lake City, UT a natural setting for conversations about dependability. These are the kinds of operating conditions that highlight the importance of dependable equipment and strong service support.

Cummins had sales and service teams on site alongside the ride-and-drive fleet, reinforcing a point many fleet operators already understand: dependability extends beyond the engine itself. It includes the service network, technical expertise and people who stand behind the product throughout its life cycle.

Las Vegas ACT Expo: partnership in the energy transition

At ACT Expo in Las Vegas, the conversation shifted toward the future. Cummins leaders and customers discussed the energy transition through the lens of the Destination Zero™ strategy and the practical steps already underway across the industry.

The X15N natural gas platform helped ground those discussions in a real-world solution customers could experience firsthand. Rather than asking fleets to wait for future technologies, Cummins is providing options that can help customers navigate changing operational and regulatory requirements today.

Beyond the spotlight

Dallas and Phoenix each hosted the full ride-and-drive experience at Cummins Sales and Service branch, giving customers direct access to Cummins experts and the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest powertrain technologies. Like every stop on the tour, these events were built around hands-on learning, customer feedback and meaningful conversations about the future of trucking.

That consistency reflects how Cummins approaches customer engagement. The commitment remains the same regardless of the size of the audience or the location of the event.
