Nope, not Santa…but you can expect to see the color red! We all remember that feeling the night before Christmas. Excitement filled the air and the anticipation of what was going to be under the tree kept many of us up all night. Well, here at Cummins, we have that exact same feeling as we are only days away from the kick off of our much anticipated Redefining Tour!

On June 8, under the theme of “Unleashing the Richness of 40 Years, Break Forth to the New Normal,” Cummins representatives and key stakeholders met in Beijing to celebrate Cummins China’s 40th anniversary.

In early June, the Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau (Beijing EPB) held a ceremony to recognize Beijing EPB, Beijing Public Transit (BJPT) and Cummins Inc. in their joint efforts to seek innovative approaches to further reduce emissions for public transit buses.

Barbecue and lots of ice water were the name of the game last week as hundreds of customers, dealers, Cummins employees and Cummins fans filled the parking lots of the Columbus Engine Plant in Columbus, Indiana, the Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio, and Cummins Bridgeway Branch 003 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for our first three Redefining Tour stops.

Cummins’ Vice President - Chief Technology Officer, Dr. John Wall, and two California professors are the latest recipients of a prestigious award presented Thursday, June 25 that recognizes outstanding lifetime achievement in air-quality research, science and technology.

Cummins is quickly making our mark on the great north as we traveled with our five-truck fleet through Ohio, Michigan, and made our first foray outside of the US into Canada. The Redefining Tour stopped just outside of Canada’s largest city, Toronto, in Mississauga at the Cummins Eastern Canada distributorship. It was a great few days spent in the area last week connecting with customers and showcasing what we have available today and in store for the future!

City officials in Xiangyang, China, which recently suffered a severe drought, have been concerned with the scarcity of water.
