As displayed at APTA Expo (Booth 1933), the QSK95 uses integrated Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) aftertreatment to meet Tier 4 emissions. Combined with Cummins latest-generation Modular Common Rail fuel system (MCR) and turbocharging, it delivers 4400 hp (3281 kW), the highest output of any 16-cylinder high-speed diesel. It enables locomotives to reach top speeds of over 125 mph (201 kmh).
GILLIG LLC and Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) announced today a new electrified power partnership at the APTA public transportation show taking place in Atlanta. The technical collaboration work focuses on integrating and optimizing new battery electric technology offered by Cummins that will soon power GILLIG zero-emissions transit buses.

Our latest Single ModuleTM aftertreatment technology used on 3.8 to 9 litre engines is 50% smaller and 30% lighter than the equivalent Stage IV system. Its higher efficiency NOx conversion capability supports the removal of EGR from the engine, making it simpler and easier to install for OEMs,” said Andrew Hobbs, Cummins Agriculture Business Director.
