M. M. (Marya) Rose
Vice President – Chief Administrative Officer (July 2011 to present)
Marya Rose is the Vice President – Chief Administrative Officer for Cummins Inc. where she oversees the government relations, communications, real estate and facilities, information technology, legal, Cummins Business Services and global security functions for the company.
Rose joined Cummins as Corporate Counsel in 1997 and since then has served in the roles of Director – Public Relations and Vice President – General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Marya developed the Cummins legal organization from approximately 15 decentralized lawyers to a global organization of more than 60 lawyers, paralegals and other professionals spanning across India, China, Brazil and the EMEA region. In addition, she changed the way legal reported its litigation by instituting a global matter management system.
Prior to her career at Cummins, Rose worked for the State of Indiana as Deputy Legislative Director in the Office of the Governor and Deputy General Counsel for the Family and Social Services Administration.
In the community, Rose serves on the board of directors for Planned Parenthood of Indiana, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Indiana Repertory Theatre. She was also a member of the United Way of Central Indiana’s Ardath Burkhart Leadership Development Class of 1997.
Rose attended Williams College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy and went on to earn a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law.
