Where We Are
Cummins is headquartered in Beijing and is the largest foreign investor in China's diesel engine sector. Today there are more than 9,000 employees working in Cummins China entities and it is now one of the fastest growing geographical markets for the Company. In 2010, Cummins China's consolidated and unconsolidated sales exceeded $3 billion, including joint ventures.

What We Do
Cummins operates 26 facilities in China, including 15 manufacturing sites that produce 11 of the 18 Cummins engine families, turbochargers, filters, emission solutions, fuel systems, alternators and electrical power generation systems. In the aftermarket support area, Cummins has 12 regional service centers, more than 30 customer support platforms and over 300 authorized dealers across the region.
WHO WE ARE
Cummins' operations in East Asia cover China Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Mongolia. Its largest presence is in China Mainland with manufacturing as a primary focus.

Cummins' ties to China date to 1975 when former Chairman J. Irwin Miller visited China. Cummins' first office was established in Beijing in 1979 shortly after China opened its doors to the outside world. In 1981, Cummins signed its first license agreement with China National Heavy Duty Truck Corporation (CNHTC).

In 1995 the Company became one of the earliest foreign companies to form a joint venture in China's heavy duty industry. Cummins has cooperated with China's leading enterprises including Dongfeng Motor, Shaanqi Group and Beiqi Foton.
